We want to take a moment to recognize one of our projects!
Our renovation of Texas A&M University’s Francis Hall was recognized for three awards by various construction industry trade associations. We are both excited and honored!
This project was intended to accomplish the needed improvements required to address the architectural needs of the occupants, the regulatory requirements related to the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), mechanical/electrical/plumbing upgrades of outdated systems, Fire and Life Safety (F&LS) code upgrades, waterproofing improvements to the building envelope, the deferred maintenance identified as needed in the building, as well as needed vertical access to floors above.
BRW Architects validated the existing Program of Requirements and analyzed the space relationships, evaluated alternative solutions, and developed these into conceptual presentations with recommendations as to those solutions that would provide advantageous operational features.
“Francis Hall,” said Joe Horlen, head of the Department of Construction Science, “is one of a kind not only in Texas but throughout the nation and will serve our department and the construction industry very well for many years as we work to educate the next generations of industry leaders” (archone).
