Texas State University and BRW Architects were recognized by the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) South Texas Chapter with a 2014 Excellence in Construction Award. BRW was the Architect of Record for the restoration of the Old Main Building. This building is the oldest and most historically significant building on the San Marcos campus of Texas State University. The project focused on the complete exterior restoration of the building’s exterior envelope; including window repair, roof replacement, masonry restoration and proper waterproofing of the exterior facades. The Old Main Building is an iconic symbol of the University’s long time presence in Central Texas and a lasting image of the impact of educating Texans for over a century.
