USGBC GREEN GALA

green gala

Last Thursday was a perfect night.  Not only did I get to go to my new favorite spot in Dallas, I also had dinner and drinks with some of my favorite BRW people, all in the name of raising money for the North Texas Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  The USGBC North Texas Green Gala was held at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and BRW’s own, Lori Lampe branded the event from the invitations and programs to the signage and color scheme.  It was an honor to sit at her table.

The night began with drinks in the lovely outdoor entry plaza and continued inside with a sit down dinner in the spacious first floor.  After dinner, awards for LEED projects of the year in various categories were announced.  Although we did not win this year, it was encouraging to be there and hear about the various ways the USGBC North Texas Chapter is promoting a “greener” built environment for the region.  Hopefully, we will have better luck next year with the awards.  For now, it is enough to support the USGBC and our own goals to build more sustainable projects.
